Falcon Fastening Solutions, Inc. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Charlotte, NC. We have onsite branch locations for clients in South Carolina, and in 2009 expanded with a second full service branch located in Louisville, KY.

In 2015, Falcon was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the “Best Places to Work”. In October 2012 the Louisville, KY branch moved to a new location that more than doubled the warehouse space to meet our clients’ growth requirements.

Today, Falcon Fastening Solutions has full-service distribution centers in Charlotte, NC and Louisville, Kentucky as well as onsite branch locations in client plants in North and South Carolina.

Business Development Specialist (Industrial B2B)

  • Compensation: Base + commission

Description

This is a full time position to help Falcon Fastening Solutions increase revenues by adding profitable new clients. We are looking for a highly self-motivated person who has experience calling and working with high ranking executives selling high dollar projects. The candidate must be proficient at prospecting.

This position will work closely with our marketing manager to create/provide materials for prospects. Our compensation program is highly based upon performance (includes a base salary with uncapped commission), vehicle reimbursement, cellphone and laptop. We offer a complete benefit plan, paid time-off, 401(K) and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Falcon’s new business development plan
  • Follow up on sales leads and develop new clients via direct visits, telemarketing, social media, networking and other opportunities
  • Participate in the development of sales goals and strategies
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on prospects and new clients
  • Participate in status meetings with other members of the team and provide reports on market opportunities, sales results, sales funnel status, competitive trends, etc.
  • Work with Falcon team to obtain solutions and pricing

Qualifications/Skills

  • Committed and sales driven with ambition to develop professionally and personally
  • Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business selling
  • Experience in selling services and products
  • One year of industrial sales experience helpful.
  • A history of successful new business development results
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or a minimum of 2 years of serving the manufacturing sector
  • Personable, good interpersonal skills to be able to work with others and build professional relationships with clients, prospects, and the Falcon staff
  • Ability to listen and identify solutions to client problems
  • Ability to create and present proposals to prospects
  • Be able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the Sandler process is helpful but not required
